NU architectuuratelier

Belgian architects Armand Eeckels and Halewijn Lievens of NU architectuuratelier have renovated or newly built some pretty sweet modern homes, while creating perfect cat perches, indoor-outdoor living spaces, and live-work arrangements. A very creative team. Here is a selection of photos from several of their projects.

Stalking summer berries

With its powdery berry highlights on a neutral background, its lovely light, pretty courtyard and compact living this contemporary terrace house in Paddington, Sydney is a cocoon of everyday luxury. I seriously want to move in. Packing my bags now. Link here while it lasts.

Electric light loft

An old electric light station building is a perfect stage for this light infused loft. Luxe against rough, walls of books, tribal meets texture, industrial softened with fine fabrics, soaring ceilings and that light, that beautiful light. I have serious work place eny. The design studio of Thomas Hamel and Associates in Redfern, Sydney. Sigh.

I love this house

This cold I have is knocking me on my ass, especially now that I am into the drippy nose/sinus ache stage so before I head back to bed I will simply leave you with this fantastic home I found on CITIZENS OF THE WORLD. It is that of Vicki Lee, artist and founder of a beautifully curated homewares shop TheTwentyTwo, and it reminds me how much I would love to live in a climate where one can easily enjoy the outdoors with lots of large windows and sliding doors.
